I read this last night and it really resonated with me. I find that when things don’t go my way, I suddenly forgot all the wonderful things that did turn out great. I miss alot of moments this way. The simple things like waking up to see another day. That should be chief among our blessings when we count them. When your life is spared and you rise in the morning that means that you 86,400 more seconds to fulfill God’s divine purpose for your life. Don’t worry if you do not know your purpose in this moment. Have faith, believe in God’s promises, seek him diligently , get to know God and he will reveal it to you in time.So bogging your mind down with what happened yesterday or what will happen tomorrow is wasting valuabe seconds on what you can be doing now. I have one new years resolution and it is to live for the moment. So if you ask me a question about a moment in some distant time, yet to come ,on a random day in April 2012, I will shrug my shoulders probably because I don’t know what that moment will look like nor do I know what the moments preceding it will look like and as much as we would love to control every moment the only one that is in control is God. Are you living for the moment?
One day at a time,
